Weve been using Box to share information with external vendors. Its mostly been used by myself and people in quality who needs to be sharing documents with external providers without providing access to our company shared drives.
  • Simple and easy interface
  • Good permission control
  • Solid security measures
  • Design really resembles other similar programs...
  • The desktop sync version and MS word sync functions are a bit slow
For my needs, they are satisfactory. No better or worst than competitors. I have used them for sharing information with out-of-organization users, people had no problem accessing files on Box. The only thing is that people are less familiar with Box than its competitors.

I use Box for sending requests for reviews of my project files. I get requests to create designs for website pages. Upon creation of pages, I send various versions of designs for approvals. I am trying to minimize communications by sending files via Box platform to the project team. I use Box for sending content documents as well along with design files.
  • I think box has a good price than some other vendors.
  • It helps me updating designs based on comments received from team.
  • It helps me minimize communication for getting approvals.
  • It will be helpful to get a real time collaboration within files from Box community.
Box is great for communication. Helps getting approvals from team via sending and sharing design files. It has good sharing options to share files with other colleagues. It works quickly to upload files and other type of documents. Inviting a friend using a link is easier. Would be great to have real time collaboration functionality.

Box is used to backup important day to day work files across the length of my coy [company]. I tend to think our use of Box within my coy [company], has improved productivity within my organization, especially in situations where employees need to collaborate remotely. In this kind of situation, Box ensures that we always have access to much needed work files, as long as we can connect to the internet. In select departments within my coy [company], like the marketing department where I work, Box is integrated with internal workflow process, thus resulting in the automation and faster completion of regular day to day simple yet effective tasks such as scheduling events, requesting file access, etc.
  • Basic task automation
  • File storage
  • File collaboration
  • Integrations
  • Box on web browser is not intuitive.
  • Box does not make it convenient to share files with non-Box users.
In my own experience so far with Box, it is well suited for file storage activities, automation of basic day to day task, security of files ( our IT engineers regularly attest to the level of security within the Box platform) and integration with tools from other vendors for maximized productivity. These are some specific areas where Box does a fantastic job.

We use Box from time to time to manage files between our clients. Clients send files via Box and we use it to manage those files accordingly. Box helps receive design files and other format files for the projects. If a client wants to send files via Box, then this platform helps us manage them with it.
  • Box has a clean user friendly interface.
  • It has functionality to manage files upload easily.
  • Box has options for users to signup for free so they can receive and download files.
  • Integration with Slack would be great.
Box is good for managing the files to be shared with teammates or clients. It allows downloading files with a simple click from the provided link. Has easy-to-use navigation throughout the interface and website. The user-friendliness is great for Box.
In terms of functionality, Box competes with other big companies like Dropbox and provides all options which are needed by the users.

Getting everyone on the same page with one place to work together easily on our most important content. Our organization depends on collaboration between lots of people, from teammates to customers to partners and vendors. Making it easy for individuals and teams both inside and outside our organization to do their best work.
  • Best-of-breed app integration.
  • Simplified workflow.
  • Seamless collaboration.
  • Data transfer with link to any user is not available like Dropbox and pricing is a little higher compared to Google Drive and lacks more features as a collaboration tool.
  • Sometimes there are some syncing issues in the background. Many of our employees face issues while using it from their smartphones.
  • During uploading feels like it's slower, by comparing other similar service providers it's definitely slower.
Box is a great option for file storage, file sharing, data collaboration works. For official works, we use Box without any hassle, it provides me the choice to control the access of files to individuals. It makes it very easy and intuitive to use-much like using a windows folder structure. Also has the benefit of powerful search functions.

It's used for sharing files within my department but also with other departments and organizations (e.g. external users that we cooperate with). We can share various documentation files between employees e.g. including process descriptions and other usages. With external users, we share procedures on how to use specific services and what are our internal processes.
  • Sharing large files which should not be sent via email.
  • Sharing documents with external users.
  • Sharing applications with external users.
  • Speed of access.
  • Options to grant permissions to external users.
It's great for sharing large files when not all potential users need them immediately. Also, it is good to share specific files with external users - e.g. documentation or some applications that third-party companies need to use but it is not safe enough to send via regular email service.

Its the tool I use to sync files between my computer and the cloud to make them available whenever needed and to make sure they are never outdated. Any changes I make to files in one device are reflected on all other devices. Streamlines the file sharing process throughout the different offices no matter how far they are physically.
  • Multiple people can do concurrent edits and revisions to a document
  • Reduces the risk and potential loss of data caused by leakage
  • Real-time file synchronization between my computer and the Box server
  • Defining permission settings for different file viewers
  • Bigger files take much time to sync to the server
  • No option to re-order sync management
  • More filters per column to get a particular file
Something tremendous I noted about Box is files are accessed at LAN speed without being constrained by internet bandwidth when sharing with a colleague in the same office. It allows us to access all our files without consuming the storage space of office PC. When syncing huge files to the server its better to split them

I use Box for file sharing and inviting other collaborators to create Word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, as well as for collaborating on these documents in real-time. It is packed with oodles of features and options for file storage, syncing, and collaboration. Box backs up entire hard drives and systems. By simply clicking on files and folders then tabbing over to ''details'' I can view their sync status on my account.
  • Collaborating with other colleagues on marketing projects
  • Team management and controlling access to files and folders
  • Managing cloud storage data
  • Grouping documents into folders
  • High price tag for small businesses
  • Box notes are not quite as good as note-taking apps
  • No link download limits
I can easily create and edit documents then assign a general or approval task to any file with comments. Three of its four plans come with unlimited storage, making it the only cloud storage service offering that much space. However, it can still be expensive for small businesses.

BOX is a good product used for file and data sharing. It's a very easy and portable tool used to keep and share big files which can't be sent over emails.

If you are worried about you data you can back up on the cloud BOX.
  • File and data sharing via a URL.
  • Data storage over cloud.
  • File synchronization with your PC.
  • It has cross platform usage so can be used on all OS including Windows and Mac.
  • You need premium version in case you have to upload large files.
  • Mobile application edition is not that user friendly.
  • Internet connection is required to access the files.
  • Support could be a bit better.
It's well suited if you want to quickly send large file to someone else via URL link although using it as a storage is a bit difficult as you need a good and robust internet connection.

Photo sharing can be a hassle due to lack of metadata.

This tool is very widely known and popular a tool that we have been using in our company in the category of Enterprise Content Management Software. One thing that I have to say about this tool is that whether you are actually on the premises of the office or you are not there, this tool will always give you the leverage to give 100% focus and dedication to your work and manage all the workflows with great concentration and efficiency. This tool is being used across different departments and multiple divisions.
  • I really liked this platform because it is cross-platform and this can be very easily installed on not only Windows but Mac as well so that users can access files online at any time.
  • The desktop application in this product makes it so easy and hassle-free to find all the files on the computer and then open them on different devices simultaneously.
  • This platform has the capability to create shared links without any complications involved that are not there in different players.
  • When using this product the user does not need to undergo any special training or upload any content.
  • Box gives users pretty easy access and I think its usability is great for all users.
  • Large-sized files cannot be synchronized without having a premium version so all of the processing consumes a lot of time.
  • When you initially install Box then you are required to move all files which again consumes a lot of time that could be invested somewhere else.
It is a completely reliable platform. Since we get a lot of documents to read and share, this product has made my life easy by stacking them in folders so that I can read them according to my ease and preference. That is why this tool is very good and I would recommend it to businesses who have similar concerns. Altogether, this is a great product and should be tried out by companies.

I have been using Box in our whole organization and it is one of the very efficient ways of backing up and sharing data plus editing documents as well in all the departments of our company. This tool comes in very handy and is useful for backing up different important files in the cloud. I have noticed that this product is a very seamless way of managing all our processes to facilitate us in keeping track of customer experiences. All in all, it has addressed many problems, and majorly it is the backing up of important data.
  • The tool can handle large file sizes of up to 5 GB very easily along with excellent integration and word processing for online document editing.
  • The software also provides users a chance to enhance and increase the overall traceability of documents and files.
  • A recent new feature that enables users to comment while they share files is also very useful as it allows users to avoid any discrepancy.
  • It is secure and reliable platform.
  • I have noticed that the larger the file size is the more time it will take to sync plus at some point you might not be able to sync without a premium version.
  • When you initially install this product you will first have to move all the files that you want to sync which is very time-consuming.
I have been using this product for a long time in my company and previously we have also used different software of a similar nature, but none of them offered enough space, so we switched to Box. By far I feel that this was one of the best decisions because this is one of the most widely accepted storage tools and it has a superior interface that has leveraged us in so many ways. I consider it to be a great win and therefore I would also recommend it to other companies.

We use Box to share hundreds of files throughout many projects. It allows us to keep everything in one place for a project, and be updated [in] real-time for everyone who is a part of that project. Using Box has helped our company keep everything up to date, while also cutting out the fat from data storage. We also use the functions [as] the online excel sheet to keep price lists up to date with our vendors, and those can be updated real-time which helps save time for everybody.
  • Sync online folders onto a computer, to be used by the file explorer as if it were a local folder.
  • Keep online data up to date according to what other users have edited within those files.
  • Allow backup of local data easy.
  • The sync could explain what is being done in a more detailed way, I've had to "unsync" and resync things multiple times before to get it set upright.
  • Folders that appear in the file explorer sometimes say nothing's in them if they haven't loaded the folder yet. That can be confusing, it should tell the user that it's loading.
  • The syncing interface could be more user friendly.
Box is well suited for large projects with a lot of team members, jobs that include multiple companies or departments, and group projects that are constantly updated. It's also useful as backup storage for files that a user doesn't want to lose. Box seems less appropriate for [the] storage of private or sensitive information.

I have found Box to be a highly useful file-sharing tool. It has enabled many users and departments access to shared files without concerns about files size or compression. The ability to exchange links has proven to be very useful as large attachments no longer clog up my inbox. Furthermore, the ability to edit files in the cloud rather than having to download them is also very useful.
  • Permissions
  • Accessability
  • File sharing
  • very occasional outages
  • publicly accessible links
I would recommend Box for any organization that requires collaboration on large documents, requires lots of storage, and does not have Microsoft Teams. Slack and Google Workspace offer sub-par alternatives for file sharing in my opinion. The unlimited storage element is a key differentiator. Teams that currently email documents back and forth would realize the largest benefits.

Box is one of those very few Content Management Software which has been used all across our organization and as a product that has helped us extensively in keeping everything coordinated and accessible. I am getting reliable service from this tool. It has fantastic functionalities. Features like the utilization of Box Sync gives you leverage to deal with many many documents which have helped with the issue of time consumption to quite a great extent.
  • The feature of Box that gives you the leverage of Cloud-Native Security is great because it protects all the files and documents easily.
  • This product has become one of the most top storage applications such as iCloud and even Google Drive.
  • As it has become the best storage application so it just safely saves all the hard drive space in the Cloud which leverages users with so much extra storage.
  • The software can be used by anyone in the organization and it establishes an atmosphere where all workers work without any hard and fast rules.
  • There are many good things about this software but there are a few cons as well like I personally think some more content on the desktop browser for viewing purposes could have been great.
  • The Multifactor facet in the software was not too useful and it was very hectic so that needs improvement.
  • There should be some more content available for viewing on the app home page for a better user experience.
I have been using Box for more than 2 years. In my opinion, this platform is great software and it just gels up super efficiently and effectively with the organizational needs. Moreover, this is one of those few products which is widely accepted in many different companies. However, I think that this software can deliver great results in small and medium-sized businesses.

We currently utilize Box across the whole organization. Box has been a gamechanger. We use Box to share documents within our organization, share documents outside the organization and organize documents in folders/files on their platform. Box guarantees the security and privacy of all documents and provides a way to sync all documents from your computer to their secure platform (Box Sync).
  • Seamlessly share documents.
  • User friendly.
  • Great platform to easily organize all your documents.
  • When creating a Link for your folder (so anyone can view the documents when they have the link), it would be great to provide a password option. So anyone with the link can access the folder, however, they'd also need to provide a password. An extra layer of security on that feature would be awesome.
  • Allowing the 'Move or Copy' option when highlighting multiple documents in one folder.
  • Providing an option on Box Notes, where a Box checked as complete moves to the bottom (Similar to Google Keep). -Having this be optional would be essential, as there are some lists where you need the completed line item to remain in the same place and not move to the bottom.
Box is great for document sharing, collaboration and overall document organization. Box is great if you need a secure place to keep documents. Box Notes are extremely helpful - my employee and I have multiple Box notes sections where we keep all our notes for reoccurring meetings.

Box is less appropriate if you're looking for a place to chat/comment about documents. Box is less appropriate if you're looking for a Task Management platform.

Box is being used throughout the organization. Box allows the different teams within DPR to come together as one and share project information.
  • Allows our teams to be organized.
  • User friendly for our field teammates.
Box is great when you have teams that need to be on the same page and come together as one. Especially when teams have previously tried to use different platforms and cannot come together. It is less appropriate for sharing professionally between partners and other companies - a link is not always the best.

Box was used as a repository for legal and financial documentation to be shared with internal and external stakeholders. While I'm unsure why the Executive Team chose Box as a solution for the company's document management needs, it suited our needs and purposes quite well.
  • Box makes it easy to sync to your desktop.
  • Add and revoke access to a particular file or folder.
  • Box is not the best solution for situations where URLs have a character limit.
  • If a new user attempts to sync a large amount of files to their computer, it will crash.
Box is well suited for small to mid-size companies. I believe there is a certain point where the cost/size gets more expensive than its competitors

I use Box to share documents with teammates and to backup data. It is very useful for backing up data and making remote collaboration easier without worrying about complex configuration or setup. Box also makes it easier for us to share data with external teammates and gives us peace of mind with its security controls.
  • User experience
  • Cost
  • Setup
  • Clearer documentation
  • Better mobile client
  • Security controls
I would definitely suggest Box for large enterprises and startups were non-technical and technical coworkers need to share files and collaborate remotely. As the editor of a blog with 500,000+ views per month and a team of several freelance writers (who submit both articles and photos), file-sharing is important. Box makes it easy to collaborate with these writers on the cloud and doesn't take up much of my valuable time. The writers simply share a link and I'm able to download files without having to depend on spotty email file sharing or waiting on lengthy load times. Box is a great resource for my department.
  • Easy to use.
  • Convenient.
  • Direct download link would be appreciated.
  • Reduce number of clicks.
Box is well-suited for situations like mine, where you're dealing with a team of remote freelancers. Box is ideal for remote teams or anywhere where teams aren't working directly together in the same office. It's also ideal for companies dealing with digital files. It may not be appropriate for teams that require close collaboration or those that deal with physical files, however.

Box is a very helpful file-sharing tool in our organization. It allows multiple depts and users to access files without worrying about file sizes and/or compressing files. The app can also be very helpful in the fact that team members can access documents from anywhere to reference at any time.
  • Accessibility
  • File sharing
  • Permissions
  • Publicly accessible links
  • Managing storage
  • Tutorials
Box is great for more sensitive materials and large file sizes. It's very comparable to Google Drive, which I use free. It can be nice to have the different customizations and settings on Box, but not sure if it would be my go-to file-sharing workspace.

Our organization uses Box to store reports and documents, as well as share across teams. It helps us share files among multiple teams and users, create separate folders and sections per team, organize files and limit and give access to different levels of users as needed. We also sync it with our personal folders and easily upload/download files.
  • Syncing with personal folders makes it very easy to upload/save/download shares docs and files
  • Creating folders with different permission levels helps share appropriate files with different team members and audiences
  • Each user can save files in Box, instead of overwhelming their personal folders on personal machines
  • Viewing reports in Box is almost impossible, because the preview functionality is very outdated
  • Finding folders in Box is not easy, as the breadcrumbs do not link to interim folders, but only start and end points
  • sometimes Sync fails and has to be rebooted to make sure users have the latest versions of files in their personal folders
Box works very well to share files and large reports with teams. It's a great backup, but may not be the best tool to use as a primary storage for company files.

Across the whole org. Acts largely as a data repository. For Finance in particular, we are able to maintain version control and data integrity.
  • Version control.
  • Data integrity.
  • Security.
  • BoxSign.
  • Pricing - its not cheap!
Box is well suited to data security, version control and as a data respository. Also has good integregations with other apps. The big unknown is BoxSign - this could be a game changer.

Box provides enterprise document storage and collaboration space for all teams. It is easy to use, with minimal administration required for day to day operations, but also provides enterprise level security controls that are required.
  • Ease of administration.
  • Ease of use.
  • Seamless integration for windows users of O365.
Box works really well in a mac based environment.
